Google Mobile App gets you the information that you need quickly with instant access to Google Search and launches your favourite Google products.

  1. Start a search without waiting to load a mobile browser.
  2. Search suggestions and your search history appear as you type.
  3. Access Maps, Google Mail, News and more, all from one place.

Feedback seems to be positive on Matt’s site:

“I just installed it on my BlackBerry Bold device and gave it a shot. Since my native language is not English, I chose Indian English as the language in the settings. I can tell you that the experience was fantastic. It was able to correctly understand words like “BlackBerry”, “Faisal Khan” (although there were a few glitches in the beginning as it displayed ‘Feroz Khan’ instead), “Star Developer”, and “Slashdot”. Although it had some problems with other keywords, overall the experience was pretty good.”

Others were not so positive, “I´ve got a Nokia S60 .. and this feature doesn´t work on mine … another reason to go iPhone.”

While another wrote if off completely, ” I just wasted a bit of my time, thanks to this misleading statement “the Google Mobile App… is available for Windows Mobile.”
Wrong. Voice recognition does NOT work on Windows Mobile. Now I’ll just uninstall this app.”

I tried it without any success from London, so maybe it’s US only at the moment.
